Star Printer Showing as “Offline”

If your Star printer is displaying a status of Offline in Windows, this indicates a connection issue at the computer or hardware level rather than within Kennel Connection.

Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Check Power and Connections

  • Confirm the printer is powered on.

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected directly to the computer. Avoid using USB hubs or adapters.

  • Verify that the power cable is firmly plugged into both the printer and the outlet.

Step 2: Try a Different USB Port

  • Disconnect the USB cable.

  • Plug the printer into a different USB port on the same computer.

  • Wait a few moments to see if Windows recognizes the device and changes the status to Online.

Step 3: Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Power off the printer.

  • Restart the computer.

  • Turn the printer back on after the computer has fully restarted.

If the printer continues to show as Offline after completing these steps, additional hardware troubleshooting may be required.
