Pet Detect printer is printing blank collars

Each strip of PetDetect tape is six inches from black mark to black mark.  This mark is detected at the endpoint.  The PetDetect printer uses this mark to trigger where to start printing the next section.  When Kennel Connection is requesting a collar, a record (the pet’s name) is put in the PetDetect table in KC for each six inches. That table is then cleared out. When you turn on the printer, it searches for that black mark.  If you are starting the printer and the collar prints blank initially, it is possible the black mark isn’t being detected properly.  If its misaligned, then it will spit out blank tape. 


There is no need to turn off the printer each night.  Leave it on and see if it fixes this problem.  If not, please contact technical support.  1-888-486-4343 option 2 or Support@SoftwareConnectionLLC.com
