Installing a Credit Card Patch for Tenerum

Welcome to Kennel Connection's Integrated Credit Card Processing! If you're viewing this article, odds are you've received your hardware and you're ready to get started! The first step will be to download and install the CC data into your KC software using a patch created especially for you. Please follow the below to complete this process. 1. Close Kennel Connection on all computers. 
2. Go to your main/host computer (where the KC database lives) and run a backup. (Creating a database backup)
3. Open Kennel Connection on this computer and go to Utilities, Get System Patch and enter your patch name in the field (patch name should have been provided to you in a previous email.) Click OK. 



The patch will now download. It may or may not open your Windows File Explorer and show you the patch. If it does, please close Kennel Connection before proceeding. If it doesn't, please close Kennel Connection and press the Windows key + E on your keyboard. This will open Windows Explorer. 

Click on "This PC" on the left hand menu and then double click your C: drive. 




Look for the KC7 folder and double click it to open it.




Now we must locate the patch. You can try clicking on the "Date modified" title bar to sort by modified date. It should bring the newest files to the top. If it shows oldest, click it again. 



Once you locate your patch, double click it to open it. 

Click "Insert Credit Card Data"



The patch will run. Should only take a few seconds. Once it completes, you can open Kennel Connection. Your Credit Card service has been installed. Please visit this link to setup your Tenerum device: Getting started with and Setting up your Tenerum EVM device
