Feedings, Medications, Exercises

Feedings, Medications, Exercises

You can add feedings, medications and exercises to appointments.  You can also print reports for each service.

These steps will be for feedings.  You will follow the same steps for medications and exercises.

Click on Editable service grids to learn about your options under feedings, medication and exercise tabs in the booking screen.

First, set up each feeding in File, Lists, Feedings.

Click New food.

Enter the name and description.

Enter the rate for the feeding, if needed.

The Not Invoiceable box is so you can add the feeding to the appointment and have it print on the feeding schedule but not charge for it on the invoice.

Charge by day - Check this option if you want KC to charge by the day.  If a pet gets the feeding Morning, Afternoon and Evening, KC will only charge once.

Charge by service - Check this option if you want KC to charge for each time the pet gets the feeding.  If the pet gets the feeding Morning, Afternoon and Evening, KC will charge 3 times per day.

Feedings

In order for the charges to show on the invoice, click on File, System Options, Invoice tab and check the box(es) for which services you want to show on the invoice.

Feedings

You are now able to add feedings to the pet card.  If a feeding is added to a pet card, it will be added to every subsequent appointment made for that pet.  This is a great time saver so you don't have to manually add the feeding to each appointment.

Open the pet card, Services tab, Feeding tab.  Click Add, choose your feeding from the drop down menu and choose when to give the feeding and the amount to be given.

Feedings

To add them to the appointment screen, click on the Services tab, Feeding tab.

Click Add or choose the feeding from the drop down.

The date range defaults to the date range of the appointment.  You can adjust this as needed.

Choose Morning, Afternoon or Evening and an amount to be given.  The rate will be populated from the Lists screen or you can add/adjust the rate here.

The Rotation is how often the pet should get the feeding. If the pet is to get the feeding every day, you will enter 1.  If the pet is to get the feeding every 2 days, you will enter a 2.  If the pet is to get the feeding every 3 days, you will enter a 3, and so on.

Feedings

After you have saved the appointment, you can print the feeding reports by clicking on Reports, Module, Feeding Schedule.

The Feeding/Medication/Exercise report can be printed by last name, pet name or run number based on the sort order on the schedule.

Feedings

You can choose for which period and for all pets or checked in pets only.

You also have the option to 'include pets on the schedule that have none'.  This means even if the pet has no feedings on his appointment, he will still show on the feeding schedule so you don't forget to feed him during his stay.

Lastly, you are able to print for all modules, meaning all feedings for all pets will print on one report.
