'Violation of law' error when running cards or doing refunds

'Violation of law' error when running cards or doing refunds

When running a credit card or doing a refund, you may get an error Violation of law.



This error means that the credit card company blocked the transaction because there is a problem with the account.  The customer will need to call their issuing bank.  Once the bank says the account is good, you can run the card again.
