Unhandled Exception Error System.FormatException An invalid character was found in the mail header

Unhandled Exception Error: System.FormatException: An invalid character was found in the mail header: '>'.:

Symptom:
When attempting to send emails to multiple customers under the Utilities>Send Email option, you may sometimes receive an Unhandled Exception Error: System.FormatException: An invalid character was found in the mail header: '>'.

This normally means that one of the customers in the group you selected has an invalid or incomplete email address. The software will recognize extra spaces before, included in, or after the email address on the customer card as an invalid character and throw this exception.

Troubleshooting:
You will need to check each customer record that you are attempting to send the email to and see which one is halting the email from going out. You'll need to search for the client under File>Search, or by searching in the Client Explorer, and open the customer card.

Example:
This customer record has an extra space in front of the email address.

To fix the issue, we must remove that space in front of the email address and save the customer record.

Once you've confirmed that all email addresses are correct and fully filled out, with no extra spaces or missing characters, try sending the email again.
