Unable to download full update on Windows 8 or Windows 10

When downloading a Kennel Connection update, the download takes seconds, there is an update icon on the desktop, but it is only a partial download.

Windows Smart Screen Filter is enabled.  This blocks Webex and Teamviewer from opening.

  • Open Control Panel > Action Center.
  • On the left hand side, click on "Windows Smart Screen Filter."
  • Disable it completely.
  • If the User Account Controls is still enabled, click on Change UAC settings (above the Smart Screen Settings) and disable it.
  • Reboot the computer.

This will allow remote tools to run and allow the update to download fully.

Please note:  The Smart Screen Filter also causes issues with processing credit cards.  If you process with credit cards, you must disable this feature.
