Pet Detect installation & usage guide

Pet Detect installation & usage guide

Please note that unless you are on the monthly Pro or Platinum plan, Pet Detect module is not included with the KC software and must be purchased as an add-on. Please email Sales@SoftwareConnectionLLC.com if you wish to add on the Pet Detect module.

Part 1. Install and Setup:

**Do not plug in your Pet Detect printer to the computer until after the drives are installed.**

1.  Contact Support@SoftwareConnectionLLC.com for the petdetect drivers.

2.  Locate the downloaded file, right click on it, and choose "Extract All".  Follow the prompts.  Once extracted, double click on the Pet Detect installer folder and then double click on the "PetDetect.exe" file and run it.  Allow the installer to extract to the default location.

3.  Click Next 3 times until it asks you to plug in and power on your Pet Detect printer.  Please do so at that time and click Next again.

4.  You may or may not be prompted with a "Windows Security" warning box.  If you are, please be sure to install the driver anyway otherwise the installer will fail.

5.  Once complete, you can close out of the Pet Detect Installer software.  Open the Control Panel and look inside 'Devices & Printers" and Pet Detect Raster Printer should be listed.  If you don't see it and you see something called Star TSP700II listed, that means the Pet Detect drivers were not attached to the printer.  Right click on Star TSP700II and choose "Printer Properties".  Click on the "Advanced" tab.  Next to "Driver", click the drop down arrow and choose Pet Detect Raster Printer  Click Apply and OK.
