No show processor

No show processor

The No Show Processor checks your database and any boarding pet that either had an appointment and was never checked in, or was checked in and never checked out, gets flagged and extended to today's date on the boarding schedule.  It will extend their feedings, medications and exercises to today's date.  All of these appointments will be in orange, designating them as "Not picked up".  It will also add warnings to the pet and owner cards as No Shows.

For Grooming and Daycare pets, it will add a warning to the pet and owner cards but it will not move the appointments to today's schedule.

You have the option to not include the no show warning on the pet and client card.  Click here for details.

If you regularly use this utility, it's a great way to keep track of pets to make sure they are being accounted for and checked in and out properly.

IMPORTANT:  However, if you have never run this utility before, the first time it is run can result in hundreds/thousands of appointments being moved to that day on the schedule.  There is NO way to undo this utility once it is run.  Your only option is to restore from a backup done before the utility was run or to manually modify each appointment and change the out date to the original date.  You will also have to manually delete the No Shows warnings off of the pet and client records if you don't want their name in red on your list.

When you first open Kennel Connection in the morning, you will get a popup message asking if you want to process no shows.

If it has been some time since the utility was used, or if it has never been run, you will get a popup message on the screen warning you of this fact and if you want to continue.  In this example, it hasn't been run in 413 days.  If I choose to run it now, it could potentially extend thousands of old boarding appointments to today's schedule.
