Multilocation - Setting up commissions

Multilocation - Setting up commissions

You are able to set services and products to be commissioned, assign employees and generate a commission total for each employee.

Employees are setup by location.

Click on Setup, Employees.

Click on Commission.

There is an overall rate, 35% in this example.
And there are rates for specific services/products, Groom and Bath in this example.

If the employee has specific services/products listed, that is the rate he will get.
If he is assigned to any other service/product, the overall rate will be used.

To add a commission rate for a specific service/product, click the arrow and choose Add New.

Hit Select

Click on System, Product or Service and choose the specific item in the drop down.

Enter a rate and choose either dollar amount or percentage.

The next step is to set these services/products to be commissioned.

This must be done for each location.

Click on Setup, Inventory.
Click on the item, click the Commissioned box.
You can put a commission rate here.

Important:  The system will first look at the employee card to see if they have a commission rate set there.  If there is, it will use that percentage.

If the employee does not have a commission rate on his employee card, Kennel Connection will use the rate in the Inventory screen.

Next, go to Other Services and Special Services to set commission rates there.

This must be done for each location.

This is done in Setup, Lists.

Please note:  Employees will get the same rate for Other Services and Special Services.  There is no option to assign different rates to different employees for these services.

Now you are ready to make appointments and use the commission report.

When making appointments, you can assign the employee.  If done here, the employee is automatically populated on the invoice, which is where the commission report pulls from.

If you forgot to assign the employee to the appointment or it needs to change, you will do that on the invoice.

Please note:  If you have already created the invoice, changing the employee on the appointment will not update the already created invoice.  You'll need to do that as a separate step.

The commission report is printed by location.

Reports, Revenue, Commission report.  You can print for date range, for all employees or one.
