Multilocation - Feedings, medications, exercises

Multilocation - Feedings, medications, exercises

You can add feedings, medications and exercises to appointments.  You can also print reports for each service.

These steps will be for feedings.  You will follow the same steps for medications and exercises.

Feedings, Medications and Exercises must be setup in Lists before you can add them to appointments.  You must set these up for each location.

First, set up each feeding in Setup, Lists.

Click on Add New Item to begin.

Enter the name and description.

Enter the rate for the feeding, if needed.

The Not Invoiceable box is so you can add the feeding to the appointment and have it print on the feeding schedule but not charge for it on the invoice.

Charge by day - Check this option if you want KC to charge by the day.  If a pet gets the feeding Morning, Afternoon and Evening, KC will only charge once.

Charge by service - Check this option if you want KC to charge for each time the pet gets the feeding.  If the pet gets the feeding Morning, Afternoon and Evening, KC will charge 3 times per day.

Hit Save when done.

In order for the charges to show on the invoice, click on File, System Options, Invoice tab and check the box(es) for which services you want to show on the invoice.

This setting must be enabled for each location.

Now you are ready to add feedings to the appointment.  To add them to the appointment screen, scroll to the bottom of the appointment and click on Feeding.

Choose the feeding from the drop down menu.

The date range defaults to the date range of the appointment.  You can adjust this as needed.

Choose Morning, Afternoon or Evening.  How Much are the instructions for the feeding.  The rate will be populated from the Lists screen or you can add/adjust the rate here.

The Rotation is how often the pet should get the feeding. If the pet is to get the feeding every day, you will enter 1.  If the pet is to get the feeding every 2 days, you will enter a 2.  If the pet is to get the feeding every 3 days, you will enter a 3, and so on.

For example, if the pet's appointment is Monday to Friday and the rotation is 2, he will get the feed on Monday, skip Tuesday, get the feed on Wednesday, skip Thursday and get the feed on Friday.

After you have saved the appointment, you can print the feeding report.  Reports must be printed by location.

Under each module, click on Reports.

Click on Feeding schedule.

This report is printed for one day only.
You can sort by run number, pet name, last name, or Feed name.
You can print for All day long, or a specific time, say for Morning feeds only.
You can print for All pets on the schedule or only pets that are already checked in.
Include pets on the schedule that have none scheduled - This will include pets who have no feedings on their appointment.
Print for all modules - The report will list all pets in Boarding, Daycare, Grooming and Special Services who have feeds scheduled.
Print labels for feedings - This will print labels with pet, run, feed info to label bowls.

The feeding will also print on the 8.5x11 kennel card.
