Hello-Groom - Setting up groom prices

You can set Hello-Groom to charge grooming services by pet default, by breed, by weight class or by inventory price.

Click on Setup, System Options, Grooming.

If you want to charge by pet weight, click the box to Charge by Weight.

If you do not check this box it defaults to charge by breed.  Be sure to hit Save when done.

The first place Hello-Groom looks for grooming prices is on the pet card, Grooming tab.  These are default rates.  If there is a rate here it will populate on the appointment screen.  You can adjust the price on either the appointment screen or the invoice.

Charge by breed

If there are no rates on the pet card and you have it set to charge by breed, the next place it looks for prices is in Setup, Lists, Breeds.

If there is no price here the last place it will look is in Setup, Inventory, Retail price.

Charge by pet weight

If there are no default rates on the pet card, then it looks at what you have set in Setup, Lists, Weight Classes.

In order for Hello-Groom to charge by weight, the pet must have a weight on his pet card.  Click Edit.

Let's try with our pet Achoo who has default rates on his pet card.  

When you make an appointment these rates will be populated.

Now we'll try with Charge by breed.  Here is a pet that does not have default prices on his pet card and is set as an Airedale.

Here are the prices we have set in Breeds for Airedales.

These prices will populate when you create an appointment.

For charge by pet weight, let's try this pet who is 21 lbs.  He doesn't have any default prices on his pet card.

Here are the prices we have setup for 1 - 30 lbs.

Those prices will populate on the appointment screen.
