Error Path to the database is invalid, or Unable to connect to your mapped drive on Windows 8

Error Path to the database is invalid, or Unable to connect to your mapped drive on Windows 8

This error will happen after you turn off the workstation or if it temporarily loses the network connection.

This is because, unlike in previous versions of Windows, Windows 8 requires a mapped drive in 'Computer' and the same mapped drive in the ODBC Manager to be mapped again.  This is a Windows bug/issue that disconnects the mapped drive in the ODBC Manager upon system restart or connectivity drop.  When this happens, you will need to manually remap the DSN each time.

Please note:  This is NOT a Kennel Connection issue, but a Microsoft issue.  This same issue is being experienced with other programs that require a networked ODBC/DSN.

You will need to remap your drive.  Click on this link for instructions:  Networking your DSN in Windows 8
