Error with current security context when attempting to backup the database

Error "Database error: The server principal is not able to access the database under the current security context" when attempting to backup the database

This error means there is a permission issue when attempting to backup.  It can be due to Windows permissions on the drive you attempting to backup to, or some security setting in Windows changed for the database files themselves.

Right click on the Backup/Restore utility icon on your desktop and select Run as Administrator to escalate the permissions.  If you are able to backup, right click on the icon again and click on Properties, Compatibility and check the box to always run as administrator.  This is so you don't have to do the right click each time.

If this does not allow the backup to go through, contact Support at Support@SoftwareConnectionLLC.com or 1-888-486-4343 option 2.

Please note:  As this is an issue with Windows and not KC, we can attempt to fix the error.  If we are unsuccessful, you will need a local technician to assist.
