Disabling UAC on Windows Vista/7
To disable the UAC on a Windows Vista:
- Click Start and open the Windows Control Panel
- In the upper left hand corner, click switch to classic view.
- Locate "User Accounts" or "Users"
- Inside the "User Accounts" click on the option to "Change User Account Control Settings".
- Remove the check mark from the box to "Use User Account Control". Click OK.
- Reboot the computer. This is a requirement.
To disable the UAC on a Windows 7:
- Close all programs you have open.
- Click on Start, Search.
- Type in UAC and search.
- Click on "Make changes to User Account Control settings".
- Slide the bar to Never Notify.
- Click OK or Save.
- Click yes to a prompt about "Allowing changes to be made".
- Reboot the computer. This is a requirement.
