There are two options on the daycare appointment screen for "Use package day for this visit" and "Do not charge for this visit". This gives you the freedom to use package days for some pets and not charge other pets for daycare stays. Let's say your facility has both daycare and boarding pets. You want to charge or use package days for pets just there for daycare, but do not want to charge or use package days for boarding pets who are also in daycare. These two options allow you to choose different options for different pets.
The options are found on the daycare booking screen and the Set to daycare screen on the boarding appointment screen.
The options will default to "Use package day for this visit" as checked and "Do not charge for this visit" as unavailable. You will only be able to click on "Do not charge for this visit" if you first uncheck "Use package day for this visit". If you DO NOT want to use a package day for the stay but DO want to charge the pet for their daycare stay, leave both boxes unchecked.
Option 1: Leave "Use package day for this visit" checked. When the pet is checked out, a day will come off their package.
Option 2: Uncheck "Use package days for this visit" and leave "Do not charge for this visit" unchecked. When the pet is checked in/out, you will need to create the invoice that will include the day of daycare.
Option 3: Uncheck "Use package day for this visit" and check "Do not charge for this visit". When the pet is checked in/out, you will need to create an invoice if other services were added to the booking screen. For this example, we also charge the pickup and delivery charge. If daycare is the only thing on the appointment screen, you do not need to create an invoice. It will be blank because you told KC to not charge for this visit.
Please note: When you are in the boarding schedle, there is an option to Set to daycare. Let's say the pet is staying for 2 weeks. On the Set screen, you have the "Use package day for this visit" unchecked and "Do not charge for this visit" checked. When you hit OK to make the boarding appointment, every daycare appointment will have those same settings. If you need to charge or verify what settings you have, you will need to go to the daycare schedule and open the individual appointment. If you go through the Boarding schedule and hit Set again, it will go back to the defaults of "Use package day for this visit" as checked" and "Do not charge for this visit" as unavailable. The reason for this is the Boarding schedule cannot load daycare appointments with different settings.
