Cloud - Run Cards vs Kennel Cards

Cloud - Run Cards vs Kennel Cards

You have two different types of cards to run for boarding pets.

The Kennel Card gives the options for three different sizes (8.5x11, 4x6 and 3x5).  Depending on the size you choose, it will display warnings, notes, vaccine dates, feedings, meds, exercises, etc.

 Here is an example:

Run cards are 8.5x11 only and displays warnings, notes, feedings, meds, exercises, other services, departure services.  Importantly, Run Cards include a grid so employees can easily notate that a service was given, along with a place to jot down any notes.

 Here is an example:

IMPORTANT:  The Run Card may print multiple pages for each pet, depending on how long the appointment is and how many services the appointment has.  If your facility has long term boarders or appointments normally have multiple add-on services, it's important that you set your options before using the run card, so you are not printing multiple pages at one time if that is not needed.  Please see Section 4.

To set your options, click on Setup, System Options, Boarding, run Cards.

Only the super admin ID can access this section.

Section 1:

The first section lets you control what options your employees can click on, or what shows when checking a pet in, for printing the run card or kennel card.

Hide Legacy Kennel cards/Hide Run Cards - You are able to decide what options your employees can click on when printing the cards.  If you leave both unchecked, then your employees can print either one.

Enable printing run cards for multiple pets - This enables the option for 'All for today' when clicking on Boarding, Reports, Run card.

Prompt for Run card at check in - This enables this button to click when checking a pet in.

Print Run Card header on every page of multi-page run card. - If a run card is on multiple pages, you can opt to print or omit the header on each page, which includes the pet's photo, breed, owner, vet information and so on.  Example below:

Section 2:

Here you can choose what items print on the Header (see photo above).  If it unchecked, that field is hidden from the card.

 Section 3:

Here you choose what services print on the run card.

Section 4:

Here you decide how many pages will print for each pet.  The default is to print for 14 days of the appointment and no more than 10 pages at once.  You can adjust these numbers to ensure you are printing the number of pages desired and not wasting paper.

Let's say your average boarding stay is 5 days.  Depending on how many add-on services the appointment has, the pet's Run card may be one pages or many pages.

If you want to ensure only one page per pet is printed, this needs to be set to 1.

 Feedings, medications, exercises

Here is an example of how the sections for feedings, medications and exercises display.

Circled in red is how often the pet is to receive the service (M=Morning, A=Afternoon, E=Evening).  If you have kitchen staff that prepare the food, they can circle this to notate the feed is prepared and ready to give to the pet.

Circled in blue is the grid that employees can notate that the service was given.  In this example, Dinner is only given in the evening so M(Morning) and A(Afternoon) are grayed out.

There is also a column for Topper (if added for a feeding) and a place for notes.

Runs

The header will show what run the pet is assigned to on checkin date and then list any transfers, up to three runs.  There will be a note "X more moves" if there are additional run transfers during his stay.

Other Services and Departure Services

These will only display if it falls on the date of the card.

For example, let's say the pet has an appointment for 1/1 to 1/15 with a departure service on 1/15.  Because of the long date range or number of services assigned to the pet, his run card will be multiple pages long.  The departure service will only display on the card that has 1/15.  It will not display on any other page.
