Changes in the tipping process (February 2021)

Changed in the tipping process (February 2021)

*This applies to users with the Web Services processing only. (Non-EMV/Chipcard device.)

Starting in this update (7.09.10), for anyone processing tips, the manual tip entry field will be disabled and will become a read only field.

Field being disabled is shown here:

This manual entry field will be replaced with a new “Add CC Tip” button and this is now where you’ll enter your tips. (The old tip field will only show you the tip amount now and cannot be edited.)

Button being added is shown here:

As you can see above the button is grayed out. This button will be available ONLY
after you process the main transaction

The new steps will be:

  • Swipe or enter card details, process the main transaction like normal.
  • Once approved, if adding tip, click the “Add CC Tip” button. Enter tip amount and submit.

Transaction will now be adjusted to include tip entered. “Add CC Tip” button will change to “Adjust Tip” and the previous manual tip entry field will be a read only view of the tip amount that you entered. You will no longer enter amounts into this field.
