Building out a Package

Building out a Package

Packages are a great way to limit the amount of transactions for services by having customers prepay for a bundle of a specific service or services. Here are the steps to adding in your own package.

1. You must be logged in as the administrator and from the home page you will go to the Incentives area. Then click on Packages.

2. You will then click Add Prepaid Package.

3. In this first section you will get to choose the service(s) that are included in the package. You can include any combination of Services (Daycare, Boarding, Grooming, Training, etc.), Activities (Playtimes, Yappy Hours, etc), and Retail Items (treats, kong, blanket, etc.).

For the example of this package we are going to create a package that comes with 10 Days of Daycare and 2 Yappy Hour Services for $260.

The Count will be the amount of the days you will get on the package. The Discounted Rate is the rate per day that the customer gets by purchasing a package. The Retail Price is the typical cost of the service without a package. The cost of the package will be determined by multiplying the count by the discounted rate for each service that is created. You will then click ADD to add that service to the package

Once you click Add you can then click the Activity Tab and choose from your list of activity packages to include (to build these see FAQ for Adding an Activity Package). Set the count and prices similar to Services and click Add.

You will then create the Package Name. Good for allows you to set an expiration on the package in 30 day increments or leave as Indefinite to have no expiration. Start Date is the date that you want the package to be available and Expiration is if you want to have a date that the package is no longer available for sale. GL Code and Package Utilization GL Code allow you to track on financial reports what revenue stream you would like this package to fall under.

Choose Upload allows you to upload up to three photos to be included in the Packages area of the home page for a customer facing sales process. Then click Create Package to have the package saved into the system.

The package will then be available for viewing and purchase.
