You can set KC to charge extra or give a discount based on
drop-off or pickup times for Boarding.
Click on File, System Options, Boarding tab.
In order for this to work, Adjust in/out time on pet check
in/out must be checked.
Click on Boarding Settings tab.
Miscellaneous settings - These options will consider both the
drop-off time for the arrival day and pickup time for the departure day.
You need to fill in all the information in order for it to work.
Please note: In order for the
Miscellaneous charges/discounts to apply, both the arrival and departure times
have to follow the settings. In other words, if you charge extra for pets
who arrive before 12pm and depart after 2pm, the check-in and checkout time
have to fall within your settings. If the pet arrives before 12pm but
departs before 2pm, he will not be charged extra.
Check the box and choose whether this is a Charge or
Discount.
Enter the amount, either a dollar amount or Day. For
example, you can say $10 or you can say 1/2 a day. If the charge is $50
per day for boarding, 1/2 is $25.
If you choose Day, it will not be a separate line item on
the invoice. Instead, it will add it to the QTY of the boarding stay.
So if you choose 1/2 and the pet stays for 5 days, the invoice will shows
5.5 days of boarding, like below.
The Desc field lets you put your own wording that will show
on the invoice in the description column.
Choose the times for the drop-off and pickup.
So in my example, I want to give a $10 discount to those
pets who arrive after 4pm on their checkin day and leave before 10am on their
checkout day.
My pet stayed for 9 days and arrived at 4:30pm on checkin
day and left at 9:00am on checkout day. This is what the invoice will
look like, a line for Board and a line for the discount.
Extra charges - These options will let you charge extra
based on drop-off or pickup times.
For example, I want to charge half-day extra for pickups
after 2pm. I also want to put in a description of Daycare fee.
My pet stayed for 5 days and checked out at 4pm. This
is his invoice, 5.5 days of boarding.
If you want it to be a separate line item on the invoice,
choose $ instead of day.
Discounts -
These options will let you give a discount based on drop-off or pickup times.
For example, I want to give a $25 discount to pets who check
in after 3pm.
My pet stayed for 10 days and checked in at 4:15pm.
Here is the invoice.
