Boarding long term discounts**
You have the option to set up long term discounts for
boarding stays.
Click on File, Discount/Loyalty setup.
Click on Boarding, Long Term tab.
Set your options on the screen below. You can enter up
to 3 discounts.
This is a tiered system. KC will not combine
discounts, but rather will apply the highest applicable rate. So, based
on our example below, if a pet is here for 22 days, it will not combine the 7
day and 10 day discounts, but apply the 21 day discount.
Please note: If you enable long term
discounts, these will be automatically applied to the invoice and you will not
be able to change the discounted boarding rate on the invoice.
As an example, three pets were booked into a run costing $40
a day.
The first pet stayed for 9 days. Her 10% discount
calculated to $4 off the boarding charge, for a total of $36 a day.
Pet 2 stayed for 16 days. His 15% discount calculated
to $6 off the boarding charge, for a total of $34 a day.
Pet 3 stayed for 30 days. His 20% discount calculated
to $8 off the boarding charge, for a total of $32 a day.
