Kennel Connection lets you attach documents to pet and client records. This is a paper-free way of keeping track of contracts, medical records, and vaccine histories. You can also attach a picture to the pet and client records.
First, you must save pictures and documents to the correct folder: On the main computer (where the database is housed), on the C drive, in the KC7 folder. If they are not saved to the correct folder, you will be able to attach them but they will not display or open through Kennel Connection.
Please note: You cannot have any sub folders in the Pix and KCDocs folders. This will cause the pictures and documents not to open.
For clients, click on the General Information tab, Documents tab.
Click Select.
It will open the KCDocs folder.
Click on the document and hit Open, or you can double click on the document.
It will now show as attached to the client record.
For pets, click on the Notes tab, Documents tab.
Attaching pictures is a similar process. First, save them to the C:\KC7\Pix folder. Next, open the pet record and hit Add File to attach them.
Please note: You can add multiple pictures to the pet card. Click on this link for full instructions.
To attach a picture to a client record, click on "..." button to choose the picture from the Pix folder.
Please note: The Backup/Restore utility does not backup the picture and documents folders. If you use these features, you must copy and Pix and KCDocx folders separately onto your flash drive or external hard drive. Depending on how often you add these, you can do this weekly or more often.
