AOL or Yahoo is not recommended for use with business software but in the rare case that an @aol.com or @yahoo.com address is tied to your business, these settings might help get it working with the KC or other third party software.
Please note that KC has no control over your email account and while our support team can usually point you in the right direction of how to resolve email issues, based on the error message, it may come down to you having to contact your email provider for further assistance.

Error when testing email settings
If you enter any of the above settings for either AOL or Yahoo and click the test email settings button and it comes back with an error like shown here, you'll need to follow these next steps:
Please NOTE: In your KC Business info, on the "Business Information" tab the company email MUST be the same address as you use in email settings. Otherwise it will fail.
Configuring your Email Security Settings:
Login to your AOL inbox and in the upper right hand corner click options. Then choose "Account Info".
OR you can login directly to your account security settings page here: https://login.aol.com/account/security
For Yahoo, login to your inbox and in the upper right hand corner click on your name and choose "Account Info".
OR you can login directly to your account security settings page here: https://login.yahoo.com/account/security
Please note while colors and style may vary, these next steps are the same for both AOL and Yahoo.
Once inside account info, click the Account security option on the left.
First thing to do is make sure you do not have any Two-Step verification turned on. If you do, you must turn it off. Once you verify no Two-Step is enabled, please click "Generate app password"
Select the drop down and choose "Other App". Title it "Kennel Connection when asked to provide a name and then click "Generate"
You'll then be displayed your special app password. Please copy this down or to your clip board by selecting and copy and click done. (Password below has characters removed for privacy. Most passwords will be longer in characters.)
In Kennel Connection, navigate back to File, Business Info, Email tab if you're not there already and remove your email password. Replace it with the one you just generated in your account info.
Click the test email settings button and you should see a successful message. You will also receive a test message to your inbox.
If you get another error, please double check to make sure that your business email address on the main "Business Information" screen matches the email address you entered in the email settings. Show in the beginning of this article.
*Please also note that email providers change settings often. These settings above may be reworded, moved or other at any time and you should check AOL's support pages for assistance. If the above does not help to get your AOL account working, unfortunately you'll need to work with their support team as again KC does not have any control over your mailbox and or it's connections.
